Listable Labs vs Profound: Which AI Visibility Platform Fits Your Team in 2026?

Listable Labs vs Profound: which should you choose?
Choose Profound if you are an enterprise team that needs up to nine answer engines, SSO, SOC 2 and a sales-led rollout. Choose Listable Labs if you want a published price from $89/month, self-serve signup, content actions, integrations and an MCP server. Listable tracks three engines by default, so it is not the deepest option. It is the faster, cheaper one to start.
We are Listable Labs, so treat this as a vendor comparison. We have tried to be exact about where Profound is stronger. Prices and engine lists were checked on both vendors' pages in October 2026.
How we compared Listable Labs and Profound
We looked at six things that decide most purchases:
- Pricing transparency: can you see the cost before you talk to anyone?
- Engine coverage: which AI engines are included, and at which tier?
- From tracking to action: does the tool tell you what to publish or fix?
- Integrations: analytics, search console, CDN and publishing connections.
- Enterprise controls: security, API, exports and history.
- Fit: brand, agency or enterprise.

How do pricing and signup compare?
Listable Labs publishes every self-serve tier. Growth is $89/month for 1 project, 50 prompts, 4,500 AI answers analysed a month, 10 articles and 2 seats. Scale is $249/month for 5 projects, 200 prompts, 25 articles, 5 seats, white-label reports and a dedicated account manager. Max is $400/month with 400 prompts and unlimited seats. Enterprise is custom. You can start free with no credit card.
Profound publishes a free Trial and an Enterprise plan. The Trial runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, and the prompts cannot be customised. Enterprise is a tailored plan. An agency option appears in the FAQ with 400 agent credits a month per client workspace, but no price. Old articles quoting $99 and $399 Profound plans are out of date.
The practical difference is time to decision. With Listable you can have a budget approved and a project running in a day. With Profound you plan for a sales cycle.
Which tool covers more AI engines?
Profound does. Its pricing page lists up to nine answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. Tracking is daily with all-time history on Enterprise.
Listable Labs includes ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Google AI Mode on every plan, which is three models. Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot are add-ons. Claude, Grok, Meta AI and DeepSeek are not tracked. If your buyers lean on Claude or you need DeepSeek coverage, this is a real gap.
For most brands, three well-chosen engines cover the bulk of buyer discovery, and the add-ons close the Perplexity and AI Overviews gap. A global enterprise that must report on every engine will prefer Profound.
What happens after you see the data?
This is where Listable Labs leans in. Its framework is Insights, Actions, Impact:
- Insights: visibility score, mentions, Citation Intelligence, share of voice and Competitive Benchmarking.
- Actions: Prompt Explorer, a knowledge base, AI-optimised article generation with review steps, and social content for Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram, with auto-publish.
- Impact: Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and Cloudflare integrations to tie AI visibility to traffic.

Profound also goes beyond monitoring. It sells "AI Marketer" agents and Answer Engine Insights, with agent pricing based on credits. It adds Agent Analytics fed by CDN and log integrations such as Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly and Vercel, which shows how AI crawlers and agents hit your site. That is a strength Listable does not match at the same depth.
In short: Listable bundles content creation into every plan and connects directly to your CMS stack, with WordPress, Webflow, Sanity and Shopify integrations. Profound goes deeper on enterprise observability.
How do integrations and MCP compare?
Listable Labs integrates with Google Analytics, Cloudflare, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, WordPress, Webflow, Sanity and Shopify. It also runs a remote MCP server with OAuth, so analysts can query visibility, mentions, citations and competitors from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini CLI, Codex, Cursor and VS Code without opening a dashboard.
Profound lists CDN and log integrations for its Agent Analytics, an API, and CSV and JSON export on Enterprise. If your team already pipes data into a warehouse or BI stack, check that Profound's API fits. If your team lives in AI assistants, Listable's MCP is the faster route.
What about enterprise controls and agencies?
Profound lists SSO, SAML and SOC 2 on Enterprise, plus a tailored prompt plan and an API. If your procurement team requires those items, Profound is the safer choice today. Confirm Listable's security documentation with its team if you are in a regulated sector.
For agencies, Listable offers one workspace per client, viewer, editor and admin roles, branded client reports with PDF export and a report subdomain. Scale ($249/month) gives you 5 client workspaces and white-label reports. Our agency page has the detail. Enterprise adds hallucination detection, advanced article generation and a dedicated success team.
Where does each platform fall short?
No tool wins every column, so here are the honest gaps on each side.
Listable Labs limitations:
- Only three models are included. Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot cost extra, and Claude, Grok, Meta AI and DeepSeek are not tracked.
- Hallucination detection, advanced article generation and deeper action items sit on the Enterprise plan.
- SSO and SOC 2 are not listed on its public pricing page, so enterprise buyers should ask about security documentation early.
Profound limitations:
- No public brand pricing, so budgeting needs a sales call and a contract.
- The free trial is short (7 days), and its prompts cannot be customised, so it is hard to test on your own category.
- Agent pricing is credit-based, which makes the total cost harder to forecast.
A useful rule: if your main question is "what will this cost us in a year, and who do I report to?", Listable's published tiers answer it. If your main question is "does this cover every engine our board asks about?", Profound's engine list answers it.
What does a typical budget look like?
Take a mid-sized brand tracking 50 buyer prompts. On Listable Labs that is Growth at $89/month, about $1,068 a year, with 10 articles a month and 2 seats included. An agency with five clients and about 200 prompts would be on Scale at $249/month, with white-label reports.
For Profound, we cannot give you a number, because none is published. That is not a criticism of the product. It simply means the first step of any Profound evaluation is a quote, and the first step of a Listable evaluation is a free account. Whichever you choose, ask what is included at your prompt volume, and whether engines you need are on the base tier or an add-on.
One more cost to check is add-ons. On Listable Labs, the three included models are fixed on every plan, and extra engines such as Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot are billed separately. On Profound, the number of engines is part of the tailored Enterprise plan. Ask each vendor for a written list of what your quote covers, then compare the total for the same prompts and engines rather than the headline price. That one habit avoids most surprises at renewal.
Who should pick which?
Pick Listable Labs if:
- You want a published price and self-serve start from $89/month.
- Your priority is turning visibility gaps into articles and social content.
- You run an agency with several small-to-mid clients and need white-label reports.
- You want AI assistants to query your data through MCP.
- ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode cover your audience.
Pick Profound if:
- You need nine engines, including Claude and DeepSeek.
- SSO, SAML and SOC 2 are procurement requirements.
- You want CDN-level Agent Analytics and a tailored enterprise rollout.
- You have a dedicated AEO team and budget for a sales-led contract.
Consider both, or something else, if you want a wider engine list at a similar price. Peec AI and Promptwatch both start at $95/month. See our ranked list of the 5 best Profound alternatives in 2026, or our guide to the best affordable alternative to Profound.
How to run a fair trial of both
- Pick 20 to 30 buyer prompts covering your category, comparisons and "best for" questions.
- Check your site first with the free AI Crawlability Checker, so a technical block does not skew the results.
- Load the prompts into Listable's free start and run Profound's trial over the same week.
- Compare the engines each one covers, the sources each one cites, and whether it tells you what to publish next.
- Decide on the time it takes to get from data to a shipped page, not on the dashboard alone.
Verdict: Listable Labs or Profound?
Profound is the deeper platform for large enterprises with nine engines, SSO and SOC 2. Listable Labs is the faster, cheaper route for brands and agencies that want tracking, content actions and integrations from $89/month, with the honest limit of three included engines.
